Uzbek FM holds talks with EEAS Secretary General

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Secretary General of the European External Action Service (EEAS) Alain Le Roy on 19 October 2015.

Alain Le Roy arrived in Uzbekistan on 18 October with a working visit.

The sides discussed the state and priority directions of further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

They paid special attention to the implementation of bilateral and multilateral projects in the framework of the EU Strategy for a New Partnership for Central Asia.

The two sides exchanged views on topical international and regional issues.

Head of the EU Delegation, Ambassador Yuri Stärk and EU Special Representative for Central Asia, Peter Burian also attended the meeting.
