Shannon arrived in Tashkent on 26 March to participate in the international conference on Afghanistan "Peace Process, Security Cooperation and Regional Cooperation".

According to the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed the state and prospects for development of Uzbek-American cooperation in various fields, as well as international and regional issues in the context of the agenda of the high-level Tashkent forum, which opens on 27 March.

US Ambassador Pamela Leora Spratlen took part in the conversation.
