Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 February 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, who arrived in Dushanbe on a working visit, was received by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

The Minister conveyed the message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

During the conversation, topical issues of the development of Uzbek-Tajik relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership, as well as practical aspects of the implementation of agreements reached during high-level visits were considered.

Particular attention is paid to the prospects for interstate cooperation in Central Asia. Opportunities for expanding the export of goods, establishing new transport corridors and developing regional markets were substantively discussed.

The meeting discussed the schedule of upcoming meetings at the highest and high levels, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
