Uzbek envoy hands over credentials to Iranian President

According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, within the ceremony, the sides discussed current state and perspectives of bilateral relations between two nations.

President of Iran Hassan Rouhani underlined that the meeting with the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, within the SCO summit in 2014, has important meaning for strengthening bilateral relations.

The sides expressed interest in expanding cooperation in various areas, including trade-economic, transport-communication, scientific-technical, tourism and other spheres.
