Uzbek Diplomats Discuss Industrial Cooperation with MÜSİAD

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A roundtable was held in Ankara bringing together diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Türkiye and representatives of the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association of Türkiye (MÜSİAD), according to Dunyo.

The meeting was attended by MÜSİAD Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Muhammed Selim Başdemir, Chairman of the Committee on Diplomatic Cooperation Seyfullah Şahin, and around 20 board members of the organization.

Founded in 1990 as a non-governmental, non-profit organization, MÜSİAD currently unites 14,000 members representing approximately 60,000 industrial enterprises, providing jobs for nearly three million people. MÜSİAD’s share in Türkiye’s industrial sector reaches 25%. The association has offices in 78 provinces in Türkiye and 84 countries abroad.

During the discussion, both sides explored opportunities to expand MÜSİAD’s activities in Uzbekistan, implement joint projects with leading Turkish industrial partners, and develop bilateral trade and investment cooperation.

Special attention was given to the “International Business Forum – IBF” project, which MÜSİAD organizes annually. The possibility of holding the forum in Uzbekistan next year was discussed.

The parties agreed to leverage MÜSİAD’s resources in Türkiye effectively and to conduct joint regional events covering priority areas of trade, investment, and other sectors. In particular, it was agreed to organize a business forum in cooperation with MÜSİAD’s representative office in Kayseri province.
