Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 March 2021, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sherzod Asadov, who arrived in Warsaw to participate in the next round of inter-ministerial consultations, held a meeting with the Vice-Speaker of the Sejm (lower chamber) of the National Assembly of the Republic of Poland by Piotr Zgorzelski.
During the conversation, the current state and priority areas of Uzbek-Polish inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed.
The Polish side was informed about the reforms being carried out in our country under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at modernizing all spheres of life.
The parties noted the importance of further development of inter-parliamentary ties to strengthen the legal foundations of political dialogue between Uzbekistan and Poland. In this context, the mechanisms for building up contacts between the legislative bodies of the two countries, as well as ways to increase the effectiveness of joint events were considered.
During the talks, an exchange of views took place on other issues of the joint agenda.
