Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 November 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Siddikov held talks with Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Muhammad Shahrul Ikram Yaakob, via videoconference.

The parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of multifaceted relations in the political, trade-economic, educational, cultural-humanitarian and tourism spheres.

The sides considered the schedule of the upcoming events at various levels, including the holding of the next round of inter-ministerial political consultations.

The main attention was paid to the issues of further activation and strengthening of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, in particular the UN, Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other multilateral platforms.

The parties also exchanged views on other issues of the bilateral agenda.
