Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 December 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gairat Fozilov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania Cristian Ciobanu.

Topical issues of bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic, investment, tourism and other spheres were considered.

Mutual interest was confirmed in building up direct ties between representatives of the business community, organizing business visits and holding joint business forums.

It was noted that the deepening of inter-parliamentary ties is an important tool for interstate contacts. In this context, the parties advocated strengthening the dialogue between the legislative bodies of the parties in the field of rule-making, improving the legal framework, etc.

The parties also exchanged proposals and views on the schedule of bilateral events at various levels and formats for the coming year.
