Uzbek Deputy Minister of Agriculture discusses new initiatives with John Deere

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Kahramon Yuldashev, held a meeting with a delegation from the American company John Deere, led by Peter Zakse, Vice President for CIS countries.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for further developing bilateral cooperation.

Opening the meeting, Yuldashev praised John Deere’s contributions to the advancement of Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector, emphasizing that expanding the partnership would be mutually beneficial.

In response, company representatives presented their initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation. These included training programs for Uzbek farmers, the organization of educational seminars, and professional development programs for students of agricultural universities, particularly focusing on the application of artificial intelligence in agriculture.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the deputy minister stressed the importance of promptly implementing the proposed initiatives and reaffirmed the Ministry of Agriculture’s readiness to provide full support for their execution.

John Deere has been operating in Uzbekistan since 2008, actively introducing advanced technologies, contributing to the digitalization of agriculture, and supplying the country’s agribusiness sector with modern equipment and automated solutions.
