Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 May 2025, Alisher Karimov, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Tatyana Teplova, Head of Division and Senior Advisor at the Public Governance Directorate of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The discussions focused on Uzbekistan’s ongoing legal and judicial reforms, including the introduction of a “smart regulation” system (TSRB), the advancement of digital justice, the launch of an AI-powered chatbot LexAI, and the implementation of innovative approaches to providing free legal aid and remote notary services.

Tatyana Teplova commended the establishment of a legislative impact assessment institution and emphasized the importance of a “people-centered justice” approach. She also proposed expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OECD.

In addition, Teplova extended an invitation for Uzbekistan to participate in an upcoming international forum to be held in Spain.
