Uzbek delegation holds meeting with Executive Secretary of UNECE

A delegation of Uzbekistan met with the Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe Christian Bach in Budapest.
According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the Uzbek delegation took part in the Second Budapest Water Summit on 28-30 November 2016.
During the meeting the sides discussed issues of cooperation in the framework of the UNECE Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes in 1992.
The Uzbek delegation informed K.Bach about the results achieved during the presidency of Uzbekistan in the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea in 2013-2016.
Bah praised the fruitful cooperation and expressed confidence in further development of mutually beneficial cooperation under the UNECE Convention.
