Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the visit of the Uzbek delegation of analytical centers headed by the director of the International Institute of Central Asia in Dushanbe, on 4 June, a meeting with its President Farhod Rahimi was held at the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of interaction in the cultural, humanitarian, educational and academic spheres.
It was emphasized that thanks to the political will of the Leaders of the two countries, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon, a "new page" had opened in the interaction between the academic and research circles of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Within the framework of the meeting, special attention was paid to issues of promising directions for building up Uzbek-Tajik cooperation in the field of science. Close scientific integration in technical, natural and humanitarian areas, primarily in the field of ecology, transport, history, the study of regional processes and others, is indicated as an urgent direction.
The willingness to work together was expressed, incl. by holding conferences, round tables and seminars.
