Uzbek Delegation Discusses Expansion of Cooperation with Hungarian Business Community
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On the second day of the official visit to Hungary, an Uzbek delegation held a working meeting with representatives of the Hungarian business community. Over fifteen companies and organizations from Hungary took part in the discussions.
The Uzbek side provided detailed information on the country’s large-scale reforms, measures to liberalize the economy, modernization of the industrial sector, creation of a favorable investment climate, and development of public-private partnership mechanisms. Special attention was given to the existing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary in trade and economic relations, investment, education, and culture.
Hungarian entrepreneurs expressed strong interest in expanding bilateral engagement and discussed specific areas of collaboration, including digital solutions from 4iG, telecommunications projects, water supply and environmental technologies by H2O Konzorcium, medical equipment and healthcare by Metrimed, consumer goods by FANTASTIGO, as well as logistics and export-import activities through Limelog and Woodstock.
The event also featured the official opening of the Hungarian Export Promotion and Investment Agency (HEPA) office in Uzbekistan. The agency is tasked with facilitating trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries.
Following the meeting, both sides agreed to maintain regular information exchange, prepare joint project proposals, and establish a continuous business dialogue aimed at further expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary.
