Uzbek delegation attends OSCE meeting in Vienna
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A delegation of Uzbekistan led by chairperson of Uzbekistan Nature Committee Bakhtiyor Abdusamatov participated in the First Preparatory Meeting of the 24th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum titled “Strengthening stability and security through co-operation on good governance” on 24-27 January 2016.
The event, which was held in Vienna, Austria, was attended by representatives from more than 30 countries, including the countries of Central Asia.
Under the program, the meeting participants discussed the issues of environmental policy and legislation, their impact on the development of economic sectors, as well as issues relating to resource efficiency, the introduction of clean technologies and waste management.
During the visit, the Uzbek delegation held meetings at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management of Austria and in other ministries and agencies in Austria.
During the meetings, the sides discussed the development of eco-tourism and the establishment of partnerships to attract advanced clean technologies into Uzbekistan.
