Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan confirmed the crash of an aircraft with identification marks of the Afghan Air Force in Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region.

According to the ministry, the air defense forces of the Air Force of Uzbekistan on 15 August in Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region stopped an attempt to illegally cross the air border of Uzbekistan by an Afghan military aircraft.

An investigation is underway on this fact.
