Uzbek customs officers seize 910 tonnes of metals

State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan said that despite adopted measures on preventing illegal -ferrous metals circulation, there are facts of violation related to stealing mechanisms and tools of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as smuggling to neighboring states.

At cooperation with other law enforcement bodies, customs officers of Syrdarya region prevented attempt to smuggle 1 tonne of non-ferrous metal scraps to neighboring state. The illegal cargo has been revealed at IJ-Combi car.

In the same region, customs officers also prevented attempt to smuggle 600 kg of non-ferrous metals. The owners of the cargo were not revealed as they run away to neighboring state.
