Uzbek companies issue shares for 5.325 trln soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Central Securities Depository of Uzbekistan said it registered 4.297 billion shares of 1,703 public companies for 5.325 trillion soums as of 18 September 2009.
The depository said about 1,207 public companies were founded on the bases of state enterprises. They issued 2.203 billion shares for 3.446 trillion soums.
About 381 public companies were formed on voluntary bases and they emitted 2.049 billion securities for 1. 824 trillion soums, the depository said.
The depository said among 1,719 public companies are 32 commercial banks. The banks issued 1.755 billion shares worth 1.12 trillion soums.
Seven investment funds emitted 5.3 million shares for 1.127 billion soums, the depository said.
