Uzbek Citizens to Have Opportunity to Work at South Korean Company KIA AUTO

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan held a meeting in Seoul with the management of the South Korean company KIA AUTO, the agency’s press service reports.

KIA AUTO operates a network of 580 service centers across South Korea, performing annual maintenance on over one million KIA vehicles.

Despite the high demand for skilled personnel, specialists from Uzbekistan have not yet participated in this sector. During the negotiations, the Uzbek side proposed the establishment of training workshops in Uzbekistan that meet KIA AUTO standards, where auto mechanics and bodywork specialists could receive language and professional training with subsequent employment in South Korea under the E-7 visa category.

The company’s management supported the initiative and expressed readiness to send a delegation to Uzbekistan in November this year to discuss practical steps for creating training centers and advancing cooperation in the preparation of qualified specialists.
