Uzbek citizens in China can return to their homeland in transit through Seoul

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A videoconference with compatriots was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the People’s Republic of China, correspondent of the Dunyo news agency Shukhrat Umirov reported.

The online meeting, which was attended by about 100 people from different regions of China, was devoted to the appeals received by the consular section of the Embassy, the decisions made, as well as questions and answers about the activities of the consular service.

It is known that in recent years, systematic work has been carried out to develop permanent dialogue and cooperation with compatriots living abroad, to stimulate their participation in the reforms being carried out in our country, as well as to promote the full and comprehensive protection of their rights and interests.

At the beginning of the event, the content and essence of the decree of the President of Uzbekistan dated 25 October 2018 "On measures to further improve the state policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of cooperation with compatriots living abroad" were discussed. At the same time, the importance of the Resolution "On measures to introduce a system of safe, orderly and legal labor migration" signed by the head of state on September 14 this year was noted, and that on the basis of this document a system of safe, orderly and legal labor migration is being introduced in the country.

During an online conversation, citizens of our country wishing to return to Uzbekistan from China were informed that Chinese airlines will operate a Xi’an-Tashkent charter flight for the business community of this country on 17 November. At the same time, compatriots were informed that discounts on the purchase of air tickets for Uzbek students studying in higher educational institutions of the PRC are provided upon presentation of a student card or a certificate from the place of study.

At the same time, the compatriots were informed that as a result of consultations conducted by Uzbek diplomats with the representative offices of Uzbekistan Airways in Beijing and Seoul, our citizens will be able to travel from the PRC to the capital of South Korea in full compliance with all precautions in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic and that they can return home on the Seoul-Tashkent flight every Friday.

It was also noted that a new biometric passport for compatriots living in China is issued in all diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in China.

During the event, it was especially emphasized that, along with the fact that the consular section of the Embassy provides compatriots with the necessary advice on the legal aspects of living, studying and working in China, the Embassy also has a system for the timely consideration of applications from individuals and legal entities, all opportunities for obtaining legal information to solve the problems of citizens.
