Uzbek citizens can travel home with non-biometric passports

Passport of the citizen of Uzbekistan of non-biometric sample can be used as a travel document to return home, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
The ministry said that in line with the decision of competent bodies of Uzbekistan, the citizens, who has valid non-biometric passports, can use their passports as travel document to return home, including in transit via third states.
The information about this was delivered to the foreign states. This order will be valid till 1 July 2018, the Uzbek ministry said.
It added that citizens of Uzbekistan should have biometric passports to travel to abroad.
