Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A citizen of Uzbekistan suspected of fraud has been detained in Türkiye, according to the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.

The diplomatic mission reported that during a joint operation conducted by the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Türkiye and Uzbekistan, Ahmadkhon Yoldoshkhon ugli Ibragimov, born in 1991, was apprehended.

Ibragimov is accused of committing a series of fraudulent acts that caused significant financial damage to citizens. He had been on the wanted list of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs since 2023.

Following his detention, the suspect was deported to Tashkent.
