Uzbek Citizen Safely Repatriated from the Czech Republic

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — With the assistance of Uzbek diplomats, a citizen stranded in the Czech Republic without documents has been safely repatriated to Uzbekistan.

The individual, identified as Sh.N., arrived in the Czech Republic in 2022 seeking employment. Due to delays in completing the necessary paperwork, his stay became illegal, though he continued to live and work in the country without proper legal status.

The situation worsened when his foreign passport was stolen, leaving him without identification and unsure how to restore it, placing him in a difficult social position.

Sh.N. later sought assistance from the consular section of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Czech Republic. Embassy staff promptly took measures to resolve the situation.

Working together with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) office in Prague, the citizen was issued a return certificate to Uzbekistan and provided with practical support to ensure a safe journey back home.
