Uzbek citizen deported from the U.S. for human trafficking
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An Uzbek citizen has been deported from the United States for trafficking minors for sexual exploitation.
According to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), A.M., a citizen of Uzbekistan, was deported back to his homeland after serving his sentence for crimes related to child sex trafficking.
The man was convicted on three counts and was escorted from Phoenix under ICE's custody.
The agency emphasized that combating such crimes remains a priority. As part of this effort, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is actively promoting the national campaign Know2Protect, which aims to educate and protect children, teenagers, parents, and adults from sexual exploitation and cybercrimes.
