Uzbek, Chinese officials take measures to assist compatriots to return to Tashkent.
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In connection with the publications in media about citizen of Uzbekistan Shodiyon Davlatova, who is in China and reported on restriction of her freedom by his spouse, the Consular-Law Department of the Minister of Foreign Affairs said that this issue is controlled by the consular department of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, citizen of Andijan married to Chinese citizen in April 2018 and moved to China for permanent residence.
Soon due to family conflicts with the assistance of the Embassy, she returned to her homeland. But later, of her own will, she left for her spouse. On 31 March, Sh. Davlatova again appealed to the Embassy and complained about living conditions, harassment by her husband, and declared her desire to return to Uzbekistan.
Because of family problems and the spouse’s failure to fulfill preliminary agreements with such a request, the citizen of Uzbekistan MT also applied to the Embassy in Beijing, who through an intermediary company met with a foreigner, officially registered the marriage in December last year and ended up in China.
In connection with these cases, the Embassy, together with the relevant authorities of China, is taking measures to assist compatriots to return to Tashkent.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing, at present, there are dozens of citizens of Uzbekistan in the People’s Republic of China, who are in a similar situation.
In this regard, the diplomatic mission organized work to establish their identity and provide consular assistance.
