Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov had a telephone conversation with China’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Qin Gang.
The parties congratulated each other on the appointments to the positions of Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and China, respectively.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties noted that thanks to the confidential dialogue and joint efforts of the heads of the two states, today the relations between Uzbekistan and China have reached an unprecedented high level, acquired a dynamic character. An active dialogue is maintained between parliaments, governments, the Foreign Ministry and relevant ministries.
The schedule and various aspects of the planned events in bilateral and multilateral formats were considered.
The similarity of the positions of Uzbekistan and China on issues of international and regional security was emphasized. The readiness of the parties to continue close cooperation within the framework of the UN, the SCO and other organizations was confirmed.
The parties considered the proposals to intensify trade and economic ties and accelerate the implementation of projects in the transport and communications sector.
The telephone conversation between the Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and China took place in an open, warm and friendly atmosphere. An agreement was reached to maintain working contacts to develop a comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China.
