Uzbek-Chinese Faculty of Transport Opens in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 June 2025, the official opening ceremony of the Uzbek-Chinese Faculty of Transport took place at the Tashkent State Transport University.
The event was attended by Shokhrukh Daliyev, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the university's leadership.
A delegation from China's Shaanxi Province also took part in the event, headed by Zhao Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, and Chen Zhijiang, Party Secretary of Chang’an University.
The primary purpose of the visit was to participate in the launch of the new faculty and to present 40 scholarship certificates for master's and PhD studies, awarded by Chang’an University.
During the visit, an agreement on cooperation was signed between Tashkent State Transport University and Chang’an University. This document marks a significant step toward strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing joint research efforts, and promoting faculty and student exchanges.
The opening of this new faculty reflects the growing strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China in the fields of education and transportation.
This initiative not only facilitates the exchange of advanced knowledge and expertise among youth from both countries but also contributes to the training of highly qualified specialists for the implementation of large-scale future projects.
