Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent State Transport University hosted a meeting with a representative of the University of Portsmouth and Brooke house College with a football academy from the UK.
During the meeting, issues of joint cooperation in the field of creating joint training programs (Double Degree) in the areas of bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering with curricula and programs aimed at developing practical skills were discussed. within the framework of the state concept for the further transformation of the higher education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan into a HAB for the implementation of international educational programs in Central Asia based on flexible areas of study and recognition of competencies acquired outside the framework of formal curricula.
Further, the parties discussed plans to create a UFP (University Foundation Program) at the Transport University, which, after graduation, will give Uzbek applicants and students the opportunity to enter European universities.
In addition, the topic of discussion was the creation of an Uzbek-British Football Academy on the basis of a transport university in the future, where students and those who wish can play professional football, which is the implementation of 5 initiatives and within the framework of the name of the year "The Year of Supporting Youth and Protecting Public Health" , proclaimed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
