Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel has confirmed the death of Uzbek-born Rustam Gulomov, who was killed in a rocket strike at a construction site in the city of Yehud on 9 March 2026.

According to the diplomatic mission, Gulomov was 62 years old. He was born and raised in Uzbekistan but renounced his Uzbek citizenship in 2017. For the past 14 years he had been living in Israel, where he later obtained Israeli citizenship.
