Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 September 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov.
The schedule and other organizational issues of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events at various levels, including those under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan in the CIS, were considered.
The heads of the foreign ministries especially noted that despite the new circumstances caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the Uzbek-Azerbaijani bilateral relations are actively developing, the trade turnover from January to July 2020 increased by 63%.
The parties also reached an agreement on the resumption of the work of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
