Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 March 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and Federal Minister for European and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria Alexander Schallenberg exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The message of Abdulaziz Kamilov noted that Uzbekistan considers Austria as a key partner in Europe and attaches great importance to building up long-term and multifaceted bilateral cooperation.

“We are interested in maintaining an open and constructive dialogue and further developing cooperation with Austria in the political, inter-parliamentary, economic and educational spheres,” the head of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan emphasizes.

In turn, Alexander Shallenberg stated that in recent years, Uzbek-Austrian relations, based on mutual respect and friendship, have been demonstrating positive dynamics.

“The Austrian business community considers Uzbekistan one of the most promising markets in the region, especially in terms of infrastructure development and the transition to a green economy,” the Austrian Foreign Minister said in a letter.
