Uzbek and Pakistani Foreign Ministers discuss implementation of strategic agreements
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 25 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a telephone conversation with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, and emphasized the importance of close coordination between the foreign ministries of the two countries to ensure the timely implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
During the conversation, the parties discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation, including the expansion of mutual trade, the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, and the implementation of the Uzbekistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan railway project, viewed as a vital element of regional connectivity.
