Uzbek Ambassador to Turkmenistan Discusses Cooperation Development with Mayor of Ashgabat
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Ravshanbek Alimov held a meeting with the Mayor (Hyakim) of Ashgabat Rahym Gandymov, reports the correspondent of the Dunyo news agency.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further development of cooperation between the capitals of the two countries, particularly the implementation of the Agreement on Establishing Sister-City Relations between the administrations of Tashkent and Ashgabat.
Special attention was given to the creation of the “Tashkent” Park in Ashgabat and the “Ashgabat” Park in Tashkent, which have become new symbols of friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
The sides agreed to further expand cultural and humanitarian cooperation and to promote “Tashkent” Park among residents and visitors of Ashgabat as a venue for regular cultural events.
They also discussed the mutual participation of delegations from both capitals in international events held in Tashkent and Ashgabat.
In particular, the participation of Ashgabat city representatives in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road,” scheduled for 27–29 November 2025, was noted as an important step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation.
