Uzbek ambassador speaks on Malaysia’s leading television channel

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 April 2019, Malaysia’s leading television channel Astro Awani, as part of the popular evening political talk show Awani Global, showed an interview with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kuala Lumpur Ravshan Usmanov.

The Astro Awani TV channel was founded in 2007 and is a high-rated news channel, with an audience of over 9 million viewers daily.

According to tradition, guests of the weekly program are heads of government delegations visiting Malaysia, prominent public figures, as well as heads of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Kuala Lumpur, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

In his interview, the Ambassador shared with the audience the state of and prospects for the development of relations between Uzbekistan and Malaysia in the political, trade, economic, investment, tourism, educational, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.

The reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in all areas of state-building and socio-economic development that are of interest in Malaysian society are particularly noted.

The Ambassador also told the rich history, culture and traditions of the Uzbek people, created favorable conditions for foreign investors and tourists.
