Uzbek Ambassador presents credentials to the President of Slovakia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Slovakia, residing in Vienna, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, presented his credentials to the President of Slovakia, Peter Pellegrini, according to the Dunyo news agency.
Following the official ceremony, which took place at the Grassalkovich Palace in Bratislava, a meeting was held to discuss the current state and future prospects of Uzbek-Slovak relations.
Both sides acknowledged the steady development of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing that in recent years, it has reached a qualitatively new level. They expressed satisfaction that a number of significant joint events are planned for this year in the political, trade and economic, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
It should be noted that Bakhtiyor Ibragimov is also accredited as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Austria and Albania. In November 2023, he presented his credentials to the President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, and in January 2025, to the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj.
Additionally, in October 2023, the diplomat was appointed Uzbekistan’s official representative to several international organizations, including the OSCE, UNODC, CTBTO, IAEA, and other UN structures operating in Vienna.
