Uzbek Agency for Social Protection Explores Prospects for Uzbek–Turkish Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan between the Director of the Agency and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Uzbekistan, Mr. Ufuk Ulutaş.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Turkish Embassy, Agency officials, and an advisor from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ankara. The discussion focused on current and future cooperation in the social sphere.
It was noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye are founded on strong fraternal ties, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to deepening their partnership.
Participants highlighted the dynamic bilateral engagement in areas such as child rights protection, support for socially vulnerable populations, the exchange of best practices, and the implementation of joint humanitarian initiatives.
Special emphasis was placed on successful projects carried out in cooperation with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), along with the potential for expanding such initiatives in the future.
The sides also addressed humanitarian issues related to the protection of the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens residing in Türkiye. The conversation included a separate discussion on the role of the family in social policy and the promotion of family values.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further advancing practical cooperation aimed at improving public welfare and strengthening the friendly ties between the two nations.
