Uzbek, Afghan leader discuss bilateral cooperation

Afghan leader arrived in Uzbekistan with a working visit to take part at the meeting of the Heads of State Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Welcoming the guest, President Islam Karimov said that the first visit of Ashraf Ghani to Uzbekistan will serve to further elevate the cooperation between two nations to a new level.

At the meeting, two presidents considered issues of bolstering mutual trade and widening the assortment of goods were discussed at the meeting.

The parties also exchanged opinions on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
