UzAuto restored the mausoleum of Khoja Abdulloh Tugdor in Asaka

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From the first days of opening, the UzAuto Motors enterprise has taken an active position in social activities and strengthening the local infrastructure of Uzbekistan. One of the next projects, embodying our historical and spiritual values, was the restoration of the place of pilgrimage in Asaka - the mausoleum of St. Khoja Abdullah Tugdor.

The mausoleum of Khoja Abdulloh Tugdor, founded in 1840, began to deteriorate and collapse over time, which led to the threat of complete destruction of the memorial complex and its loss. In May 2021, UzAuto Motors decided to restore the holy place, dear to all local residents, and return it to its former beauty and grandeur. The implementation of the project, worth about 2 billion soums, was transferred to the Avtosanoat Injiniring structural construction company, which attracted specialists in the restoration of architectural monuments from all over Uzbekistan to restore the complex.

The main goal was to preserve the identity of this complex, work on which lasted a year and was completed these days. The tomb of Khoja Abdulloh Tugdor and the adjacent buildings were completely restored, the lost parts of the buildings were completely recreated, and for the convenience of pilgrims, sheds for shade were installed in the summer.

At the grand opening of the complex on 7 May 2022, headed by the Khokim of the region Shukhrat Abdurakhmanov, a delegation of the administration of Andijan region, the leadership of Uzavtosanoat JSC, headed by the Chairman of the Board Shavkat Umurzakov, took part. The speakers highly appreciated the contribution of the company and its employees in the reconstruction of the architectural monument. Today, pilgrims can again visit the holy place, see and appreciate the cultural heritage of the mausoleum and read their sacred prayers.

“We can rightly be proud of the work done. As a result of this important project from a historical and cultural point of view, the holy place will again become an attraction for Andijan residents and guests of the city.” - Shavkat Umurzakov noted in his speech.

UzAuto, being a socially responsible company, intends to continue participating in similar projects that will help preserve the cultural and spiritual heritage of Uzbekistan.
