Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- For the first time since the beginning of the company’s activities, 160,000 cars were produced in the first half of the year. Thus, the company’s workforce not only fulfilled the President’s order, but also set a new production record.

In honor of the new production record, a 160,000th car rolled off the line in the assembly shop.

Director General of UzAuto Motors Bo Andersson thanked all employees for everyone’s contribution to achieving the goal set for the team by the President of the country. He also noted that the company in the first half of the year not only produced a record number of cars, but also delivered 72% more cars to buyers than in the same period last year. The CEO emphasized that the waiting times for the Lacetti and Cobalt models have been reduced, and the company’s immediate goal is the successful launch of the production of the Chevrolet Tracker and Onix.

Ikbol Juraev, Managing Director of Production and Technology Development, thanked all employees for their diligence, perseverance and patience.

Sabir Jumaniyazov, Managing Director of the Khorezm branch, congratulated everyone on the excellent result, and Ilkhom Tairov, Director of the HR Department, noted that the company was able to achieve such impressive results only thanks to the efforts of the entire team, close-knit teamwork and high organization.

For some, it may be just the numbers - 160,000, but only our employees know what investments, what efforts and what work lies behind these numbers, said Uktam Mirzaev, chairman of the company’s trade union.

On this day, the employees of the company who distinguished themselves in production were awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes.
