UWED hosts jubilee UN Model

The University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted a UN Model conference on 16-17 May 2015, which was organized in cooperation with the UN Information Office. It is worth to mention that the first UN Model conference was held at the university ten years ago.
The UN Model conference was attended by students of 13 universities of Tashkent, Urgench, Andijan, Gulistan and Navoi. Overall, 132 students participated in the events.
The participants simulated the session of the fifth committee of the UN General Assembly, World Health Assembly and the UN Security Council. The UN Security Council session was dedicated to stability and security in Afghanistan. The UN General Assembly session considered developing and reforming the UN system.
The World Health Assembly session was dedicated to issues of fighting global epidemic diseases at global stage.
The participants carried out general and informal debates and adopted resolutions for each session. Next day, the participants received certificates and gifts from the UN Information Center.
