Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A 17-day working trip to the USA of a delegation consisting of employees of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the leadership of the Tashkent State Agrarian University and the Gallaaral Technical College in Jizzakh region is coming to an end.
The last point of this visit was the University of Mississippi. The educational directions of the university, which was founded in 1878, the uniqueness of the curriculum and the conditions created for students, attracted the attention of the delegation from Uzbekistan. A number of agreements have been reached on bilateral curricula, improving and evaluating the experience of teachers, preparing literature, and compiling a road map.
Another important aspect is that the faculties of plant science and veterinary medicine of this university are more focused on providing students with practical knowledge than theoretical ones. For example, a student of the veterinary faculty before graduation independently performs more than 70 operations. This means that future veterinarians start working with sufficient experience. This approach is applied in other areas as well.
In addition, the meeting discussed cooperation with the university and the agrocluster JV "SILVER LEAF LLC", located in Jizzakh region of our republic. Projects were discussed that will provide employment for graduates of the Agrotechnical College and help them become experts in accordance with world requirements. The agreements reached during the meeting will undoubtedly bear fruit for our compatriots.
It is expected that bilateral agreements and projects signed during the visit, the experience studied will have a positive impact on the system of agricultural education in our country in the coming years.
