Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the United States of America (USA) Joseph Robinette Biden congratulated President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the people of Uzbekistan on Navruz.

“I want to wish you and the people of Uzbekistan a peaceful, happy and prosperous Navruz. In our joint work to support the peace process that will end the war and ensure a stable and diplomatic solution in Afghanistan, Navruz is a reminder of the critical importance of peace,” the US leader said in a statement.

“This year marks the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. You have made significant reforms in recent years, and my Administration looks forward to working with your country to continue this progress,” Biden said.

“We also look forward to continuing engagement through the C5 + 1 Dialogue launched under the leadership of Secretary of State John Kerry five years ago. I convey to you and the people of Uzbekistan my best wishes for this new year and new spring,” the US President said.
