Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Urgench branch of the State Academy of Choreography of Uzbekistan was established in the form of a state educational institution by Presidential resolution.

A department for further development of "Lazgi" execution was opened in the structure of the branch.

One of the main tasks of the branch is to train highly qualified bachelors and masters in the field of dance art, as well as scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel with the potential to conduct in-depth research in this area.

Also, one of the main tasks of the "Lazgi" department is the creation of a "Golden fund" of samples of "Lazgi" performance.

According to the resolution, the following will be created at the Branch

- a permanent exhibition covering the history of the creation and development of "Lazgi";

- a library of samples of creativity created in the direction of the performance of "Lazgi";

- a gallery of clothing samples, an exhibition hall and an Art-cafe related to Lazgi;

- children’s amateur theater studio "Lazgi".

The educational process at the branch begins in the 2021/2022 academic year.

The parameters for admission of students to the Branch in the areas of undergraduate studies are formed annually based on the parameters of admission to higher education institution.
