Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A Presidential Resolution “On additional measures for comprehensive support of persons with disabilities, assistance to their employment and further increase in social activity” was adopted.
According to the resolution, from 1 January 2022, employers hiring persons with disabilities, at the expense of the state Fund for the Promotion of Employment, will receive a subsidy in the amount of 1.5 times the size of the basic estimated value for 6 months for each employee.
From 1 March 2022:
- for disabled people from childhood and disabled people of I and II groups, the income tax benefit is increased from 1.41 to 3 times of the minimum wage;
- Until 1 March 2024, the social tax paid to employers for the disabled will be fully refunded from the state budget.
Government customers can now enter into direct contracts with public associations of disabled people for the purchase of their products.
At the expense of the Fund for the Support of State Youth Policy, annually up to 500 young people with disabilities receive subsidies for:
- study of information technology, practice of computer programming, general education disciplines and foreign languages;
- for the purchase of equipment and tools for those who have state registration as an entrepreneur or self-employed person.
At the expense of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation, from 2022, annually on a competitive basis, up to 20 young people with disabilities will be trained in foreign universities, online courses.
