Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A Presidential Resolution “On measures to develop family entrepreneurship in horticulture and viticulture, increase the share of dekhkan farms in agricultural production” was adopted.
By this Resolution, in 2022-2025, 200 thousand hectares of sown areas, reduced due to low yield of cotton and grain, will be returned to the reserve to farmers and clusters.
Lands returned to the reserve are leased to citizens through electronic selection in the amount of 0.10 to 1 hectare for vegetable growing, melons, legumes, oilseeds, and potatoes.
When renting out, preference is given to families in need who have achieved good results in agriculture, have a specialty, and are also included in the "notebooks".
US$100 million will be placed in banks in national currency at a rate of 10 percent for 10 years with a grace period of 3 years.
Loans to dehkans and farmers are issued:
- up to 100 million soums at a rate of 14%;
- for small intensive orchards and vineyards, a grace period from 3 years to 7 years is set aside, for melons, legumes, oilseeds, potatoes and vegetables, up to 2 years, with a grace period of up to 3 months.
Loans are provided on the basis of written recommendations of the newly introduced khokim assistants.
