University and Technical School Admissions Begin in Uzbekistan on June 5
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 5 June, Uzbekistan will launch the admissions process for institutions of higher and vocational education, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation has announced.
According to Presidential Decree No. PF-81, admissions to undergraduate programs at universities will follow a two-stage system based on the principle “test first, competition second.”
The first stage, which runs from 5 to 25 June inclusive, requires applicants to complete online registration at my.uzbmb.uz to take a standardized test.
During registration, candidates must select their options based on the type of admission. Those participating only in the testing phase will choose the subjects, language of instruction, and test location. Applicants to programs requiring creative or professional exams must indicate the language of instruction, test region, the specific major requiring an additional exam, and the university where the exam will be conducted.
Entrance exams to universities are scheduled for July and August.
The second stage will begin after all entrance exams are completed. Within a 15-day period, applicants will log in to my.uzbmb.uz to select their preferred institution, undergraduate program, mode of study, and prioritize their competition preferences.
Test results will be available the day after each exam. Admissions recommendations or rejections will be published on the official website of the Knowledge Assessment Agency within a week after the conclusion of the second phase of the campaign.
Applicants interested in technical schools will have a 10-day window to make their selections—school, profession, specialty, and form of study—following the announcement of final university admissions results.
The outcomes of technical school admissions will also be published on the Knowledge Assessment Agency’s website within one week.
