United States and Uzbekistan reaffirm strategic partnership at meeting in Washington
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau held a meeting in Washington with Abdulaziz Kamilov, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Uzbekistan, the U.S. Department of State said in a statement.
The US side reaffirmed its strong support for Uzbekistan’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, emphasizing its commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Deputy Secretary Landau praised Uzbekistan’s efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of civil nuclear energy, critical minerals, and broader economic and investment collaboration.
He also expressed appreciation for Uzbekistan’s consistent cooperation in countering illegal migration and terrorist threats.
