UnionPay and HUMO Sign Memorandum on QR Payment Compatibility

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — UnionPay International and Uzbekistan’s HUMO payment system continue to strengthen their partnership.

On the sidelines of the UnionPay 2025 Global Partners Conference in Shanghai, a new Memorandum was signed to launch a project ensuring QR code compatibility between the two systems.

According to the document, HUMO cardholders will be able to make payments through UnionPay’s global network, while UnionPay users will be able to pay for goods and services within HUMO’s local ecosystem via QR codes.

The cooperation aims to expand card acceptance networks, develop co-branded products, and strengthen the payment infrastructure, enhancing financial links between China and Uzbekistan.

It is worth noting that collaboration between UnionPay and HUMO began in 2021 with a project for UnionPay card acquiring in Uzbekistan.
