UN Secretary General to visit Uzbekistan on 10 June

Antonio Guterres will arrive in Samarkand on 10 June. He will hold a meeting with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Samarkand.

In the second half of the day, the UN Secretary General will visit Karakalpakstan and get acquainted with the situation in the Aral Sea region.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres will arrive in Uzbekistan from Kazakhstan. He will pay a visit to Kazakhstan on 8-9 June. It is expected that he will participate in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Antonio Guterres will visit Kyrgyzstan (11 June), Tajikistan (12 June) and Turkmenistan (13 June) during his visit to Central Asia.

In Dushanbe, he will speak at a conference on sustainable development, and in Ashgabat UN chief will participate in a high-level dialogue on the implementation of the strategy to combat terrorism in Central Asia.
