UN Secretary-General to visit Central Asia in June

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres will pay a visit to Central Asia in June 2017, the Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) and Special representative of the UN Secretary-General Petko Draganov said.

“In the first half of June, newly elected Secretary General António Guterres will visit Central Asia,” Draganov said.

“This is a testament to the great attention paid by the leadership of the United Nations to the region and its willingness to assist in resolving existing issues,” he said.
