UN delegation holds meeting at Senate

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- First Deputy Chairperson of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Sodiq Safoev held a meeting with the delegation of the UN led by the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs of the United Nations Miroslav Jenča.

During the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan and the UN set relations based on mutual trust and interest, as well as open dialogue.

The sides stated that cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN is expanding and strengthening in science, healthcare, ecology, culture, education and other spheres.

The UN delegation also held meetings at other ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.
